A few weeks ago I was entered into a nail art competition, the theme was fantasy so I had to think of things to put onto the nails. I had to create a mood board to show my ideas, which also had to fit with the fantasy theme I chose which was Alice In Wonderland. We had a couple of weeks practice before the competition, I was very nervous and it was quite stressful, but I'm glad I did it.


The competition went really well for me, at the beginning I was very nervous but once I got started I was a lot better, not as nervous and shaky as I thought I was going to be. After the competition I got my feed back, overall I had good client care and my mood board was very creative.


After lunch we went to the awards to see who came first and second, I came first! I was very proud of my self and I was glad that I worked hard because it all paid off! I am very glad that I took part in the competition, I feel that it built up my confidence a lot because this was my first ever competition. I feel honoured that I was chosen to take part.

In this session of work experience i have being preparing for interviews, by looking at popular interview questions and how to answer them by writing down our answers on paper. We looked at job adverts for Ragdale Hall, this is very high standard place which will help us to achieve in interviews. Later on we practiced asking and answering questions as if it was a real interview, which helped us to say our answers in the correct way to impress the interviewer.

ZOE NEWLOVE BEAUTY BLOGGER

This bloggers page is very simple, yet looks stylish and professional. her page is neatly set out and it is easy to follow and find your way around. Even though her page doesn't contain much colour her pictures do, they are well set out and colourful to add colour and character to her page.


Her blog contains good information about hair, skin and makeup products, she explains what they are good for and how to use them effectively. she has information on her blog about her so you can get to know her as a person as well as a blogger. She shows a very professional image and the way she explains the products are easy to understand and helpful. 

In my first session of work experience I set up my first blog, as part of my level 1 qualification. I chose my background based on the colour of it, it is very pink and girly, I like things to be very colourful and designed nicely. I am very excited for my work experience and blogging for the first time! I think that blogging will be very exciting and important. Blogging can show others your interests and things about you, you can show your blog to potential employers to show you have a passion and a skill at writing and blogging, it will help to promote you as a person.
